Before nurturing this idea to fruition, Mark spent many years in corporate America, all while running his own ventures as a serial entrepreneur. After his time as the director of finance for a mega new car dealership, he grew a small mortgage business into a regional company, and eventually sold it, and led a successful startup, distributing consumer packaged grocery products into over 3,500 major stores. Mark’s career in these roles was partially fulfilling, bringing him financial stability and recognition for his hard work. However, Mark never felt like he was making the impact he wanted. These endeavors serendipitously led him to the idea of Slice Nation. When he went out to look for pizza, he realized that there were no convenient ways to get a high-quality slice. His decision to grow this project into a successful food empire is fueled by his desire to change people’s lives.
Mark believes that when businesses care about serving good food, it greatly contributes to making people happier. “Slice Nation wants to take this idea further, offering a revolutionary way for people to enjoy pizza and a pathway to business ownership and financial freedom through a franchise model.”
Mark has patented Slice Nation’s unique pizza pan that enables single slices to be crispy and hot in under two minutes. His adventures in building this product began in his kitchen with a commercial pizza oven and a vision for something better. Since sharing his idea with his professional network, investors, and the greater public, things are starting to come together. Slice Nation is securing a location for its first store and is growing its team.
