Aging Forward

Aging Forward, established in 1974, has provided 50 years of dedicated service for older adults residing within the United States. Making a revolutionary impact on those within its network, the initiative offers community services and volunteer support to promote enriched, fulfilling lives. Since its inception, the non-profit organization has consistently engaged individuals in educational classes, recreational activities, and social initiatives that help them grow, develop, and make valuable contributions to society.

Today, the Aging Forward Alliance hopes to continue its ground-breaking momentum and reach more communities – inviting donors, investors, and interested parties to support its inspirational work in this sector. Through donations, Aging Forward hopes to advance its affiliate program and progress from serving 170,000 older adults, to upwards of 340,000 across the nation. Innovator and Executive Director, Sarah Cheney outlines: “Our goal is to have an affiliate in every locality across America, helping the aging population to remain active, radiant members of our communities. Aging is inevitable, and we want to reframe the concept into an empowering experience that enhances lives and the wider social landscape.”

Remarkably, older adults are predicted to outnumber children in less than two decades, for the first time in US history. According to data released by the US Census Bureau, 77 million citizens will be above the age of 65 by the year 2034, while 76.5 million Americans will be under the age of 18. Aging Forward offers a pertinent solution for this upcoming reality, ensuring valuable resources are available to keep the aging population engaged with their local community and society as a whole. Specifically, programs include structured learning classes covering history, culture, literature, and current affairs – as well as painting and book clubs, sporting groups, and poetry seminars hosted by retired professors and a wide array of community leaders. Within healthcare, services enhance physical and mental well-being and improve overall quality of life. Each affiliate organization operates as an individual non-profit, tailoring its offering based on the requirements of each local area.

Focusing on the untapped potential of this age group, Aging Forward brings together a community of individuals regardless of cultural and social differences, encouraging them to participate in life-enhancing initiatives that garner revolutionary social impacts. The Aging Forward alliance represents a necessary shift toward the provision of effective programs for the older adult demographic. – providing a lucrative and future-proof investment opportunity.
